Summer Foam & Bubble Party Ideas

Tips, insights, and event ideas from Middle Tennessee’s top Foam, Bubble, Glow, and Snow event specialists.

Summer in Middle Tennessee is hot, long and full of events. Foam and bubbles are a great way to keep kids moving and give guests something new. Here are summer party ideas from the events we run every year.

Foam or Bubbles?

A foam party is high energy. Guests get wet and stay cool, which makes it great for hot afternoons. A bubble party is dry and relaxed, which makes it great for younger kids and mixed crowds. Many summer events use both.

Backyard Party Ideas

  • Birthday bash: foam plus music is a complete party. See our birthday ideas.
  • End-of-school party: invite the whole class to celebrate the start of summer.
  • Fourth of July: foam by day, glow by night.
  • Family reunion: bubbles for the little ones, foam for everyone else.
  • Rent and run it yourself: a foam machine rental or bubble machine rental works well for backyards.

Neighborhood and HOA Ideas

Summer is the best time to get neighbors together.

  • Summer kickoff at the pool or clubhouse
  • National Night Out
  • Back-to-school celebration
  • Glow foam night for families

We have a full page of HOA and neighborhood event ideas.

Camps, Churches and Schools

  • Summer camp: a foam day can be the highlight of the week. See our summer camp entertainment page.
  • VBS finale: reward kids at the end of the week. See our church and youth events page.
  • Youth night: glow foam after dark brings everybody out.
  • Field day: late spring and early summer are popular. See our school events page.

Night Events

Summer sunset comes late in Tennessee, so check the time before you set your start time. A glow foam party or glow bubble party needs real darkness. It is worth the wait.

Want snow in July? Christmas in July is a fun theme, and our snow experiences work well for it.

Beating the Heat

  • Have plenty of drinking water and shade available
  • Morning and evening events are more comfortable than midday
  • Foam on a hot day is the best way to cool down, but it does not replace water breaks
  • Bubbles last longer outside the hottest, driest part of the day
  • Ask guests to wear sunscreen, and to reapply after the foam

What to Plan For

Every outdoor event needs a little planning: open space, water and power for foam, and a place for guests to change. Ask guests to bring a towel and dry clothes for a foam party.

Summer weekends book up fast, especially June and July. The earlier you reach out, the better your chances of getting your date.

Summer Event Planning Calendar

Summer goes fast, and the best dates are gone early. Here is a simple plan:

  • March: book end-of-school parties and field days.
  • April: book June and July camp dates, VBS finales and neighborhood kickoffs.
  • May: confirm your guest count, your space and your details.
  • June and July: enjoy your events, and start planning any back-to-school celebrations.
  • August: run your back-to-school event, then start thinking about fall festivals.

If you are reading this later than that, it is still worth calling. Weeknights are often easier to book than Saturdays.

Add-Ons That Make Summer Events Better

Small additions can make a big difference:

  • A second foam cannon for a larger crowd
  • Bubble stations for younger guests
  • Glow for a night event
  • Snow for a Christmas in July theme
  • Beach balls for the foam
  • A popsicle break to cool everyone down

Think about the moment guests will talk about afterward, and build your event around it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best time of day for a summer foam party? Late morning or early evening is often most comfortable. Foam is also a great way to cool down on a hot afternoon.

What should guests bring? Swimsuit, towel, shoes that can get wet, sunscreen and dry clothes.

Can we run a party at a pool? Keep foam away from the pool and deck. A nearby parking area or open lawn is a better choice.

How early should we book? As early as you can. June and July weekends go fast.
